About The Vault Vintage Clothing Boutique
Created to be the  premier vintage clothing boutique on the west side of the Portland metropolitan area, The Vault is co-owned by mother and daughter team Sue Anderson and Meghan Anderson French. The business began very organically approximately five years ago when they began selling vintage clothing on-line. They both had been lovers of vintage clothing for decades and often found incredible pieces that simply were not the right size for them. They began selling lower-priced items on-line, but realized fairly quickly that there was a real market for higher-end vintage clothing in great condition. It is hard to find items from the 1950s and 1960s in great condition, but that is their specialty. Through their on-line selling, they have made contacts in television, Broadway and elsewhere; they also do production costuming and helped costume an episode of "The Carrie Diaries, as well as "Mad Men" and "Masters of Sex."

Many great stores today sell clothing that is based on vintage styles and trends. Meghan and Sue believe that everyone should have their staple wardrobe items and mix in some true vintage pieces. Clothing also was constructed much better 50 to 60 years ago. Vintage pieces have withstood the test of time.

They are very excited to be in their new location at 12604 SW Farmington Road, at the corner of Farmington and Watson, just next door to Ex Novo. They change out their window displays frequently, so stop by to see what's new! They encourage everyone to come by the shop to see what vintage gem fits each person's wardrobe.

The Vault also offers vintage wedding dresses.

In addition to running The Vault Vintage Clothing Boutique, Meghan and Sue consult on styling for photo and film shoots.
